The challenge
Make restrictions on reading and expression tangible for people who rarely encounter them in their daily lives.
The idea
The library creates editions of George Orwell's 1984 that cannot be opened because both edges are bound. Presented around Banned Books Week and circulated through educational and library settings, the object makes the absence of access the message.
