HUMAIN, the Saudi AI company, marked the 95th National Day with a film generated entirely by AI, made with Monks to show Saudi life without the usual desert-and-camel clichés.

The challenge
AI imagery of the Gulf tends to fall back on stock clichés. As a Saudi AI company, HUMAIN needed its National Day film to show that AI could portray Saudi identity accurately.
The idea
Monks built the film with Luma AI's Ray3 video model alongside HUMAIN Create and the Arabic-first language model ALLaM, refining it over about a week of tests. It focused on specific details such as Riyadh at night, Najdi dress, light on sandstone and the sound of the rababah.
