Riyadh Season launched its fifth edition with a comic fight film starring two former Saudi football stars, Hussein Abdulghani and Mohammad Al-Shalhoub.

The challenge
The fifth edition opened on 12 October 2024, and Riyadh Season needed a launch film for its home audience in the run-up to opening night.
The idea
Abdulghani plays a boxer who floors his opponent and keeps going, landing knockout blows and trying to gouge his eye, until Al-Shalhoub steps in to stop him. Turki Alalshikh released the film in late September 2024 under the line 'The season is back'.
