Allianz Egypt marked 25 years in the country with four comic films starring Michel Milad and Donia Sami, each playing out an everyday mishap twice: first without Allianz, then with it.

The challenge
Insurance is usually sold around the moment things go wrong. For its 25th year in Egypt, Allianz wanted to present it as everyday peace of mind across its range, from car cover to retirement plans, and to use humour without making light of a serious subject.
The idea
McCANN Cairo built one format to carry the whole range. Each film shows a situation spiralling into stress and chaos without Allianz, then rewinds and replays the same moment with Allianz, where it is met with calm. Michel Milad and Donia Sami lead four films, for car, medical, marriage and education, and retirement cover. Executive creative director Mostafa Sherif said the team wrote relatable situations rather than jokes and let the contrast supply the humour. The films run on Allianz Egypt's social channels and YouTube from July to December, with outdoor on 18 sites in four Cairo locations over four months.
