The challenge

Women's requests for protection from violence often go unread. The We Will Stop Femicide Platform wanted authorities and the public to face them.

The idea

TBWA\Istanbul placed the enlarged petition on an apartment building in Zincirlikuyu, a prime billboard spot. It was booked for a week but taken down within 12 hours, after which the message went up on buildings in other parts of Turkey.

Results

  • The billboard made national news in Turkey and was shared by thousands of people and celebrities, according to the agency's entry.
