The challenge
People born with clubfoot struggle to find footwear that fits.
The idea
Developed with orthopaedic experts and footwear designers, the kits gave cobblers simple tools and instructions to produce made-to-measure flip-flops. This turned an existing network of street craftsmen into a distribution channel for affordable adaptive footwear.
Results
- Over 4,500 cobblers enabled
- More than 228,000 pairs distributed
