Platformance launches AppMonitor, a free app benchmarking tool for UAE and Saudi marketers.

Platformance, a performance marketing company, has launched AppMonitor, a free tool that lets marketers compare an app with others in its category. It is live for the UAE and Saudi Arabia, according to Campaign Middle East.
The tool covers both the Apple App Store and Google Play. It shows category rank, ratings, version history, rank movement over time and the themes that come up in user reviews. The idea is to give app marketers a quick read on how a competitor is doing without paying for a full app-intelligence subscription. The article quotes Waseem Afzal, the company's founder and CEO, and Rehmath Hussain, associate director for app marketing. It does not say how the data is collected, how often it refreshes, or whether any limits apply to free users.
To set the context, the piece cites a 2025 Middle East app growth report from Bidease and Sensor Tower, published in November 2025. That report put GCC app downloads up 2.6% year on year in the first half of 2025, against 0.5% globally, and in-app purchase revenue in the region at $700m, up 20%. Those are older figures from another publisher, not findings from AppMonitor.
This is a vendor launch with one source, and no independent test of the tool. Treat the feature list as the company's description until marketers have used it.
For app-led businesses in Riyadh and Dubai, such as delivery, fintech and retail apps, a free benchmark could help with store-page and review analysis. Paid app-intelligence tools still go deeper on downloads and revenue estimates.
Why it matters
A free benchmark tool now covers Saudi and UAE app stores, though only the vendor has described it so far.
