Meta Pixel will measure some sales on shoppers' devices from 12 November.

Meta is adding a Pixel setting that matches some website purchases on the shopper's own device, and it is switched on by default from 12 November. Advertisers who do nothing will start seeing conversions Meta says it currently misses.

The setting, labelled "Measure conversions on customer devices", sits in the Meta Pixel settings in Events Manager, marked with a start date of 12 November 2026. Meta's notice, first reported on 18 October, says it applies to datasets that already send events and needs no code changes. Matching uses details the shopper has already given the business, such as an email address, plus temporary device data, and both stay on the device. Meta is told only that a purchase happened and which campaign gets the credit. Advertisers can switch it off per dataset. The change drew wider attention on 26 October after Aimerce chief executive Yiqi Wu posted about it on X.

PPC Land reports that MetricMaven, citing two Meta help pages, lists limits: the feature is not active for people in the EU or the UK, the Pixel must sit directly on the page, and the site must have shoppers log in with an email or phone number. None of those conditions appears in the settings panel text. The start date lands 15 days before Black Friday and close to the Gulf's White Friday sales.

Meta hasn't said whether recovered conversions feed bidding and value optimisation or only reporting, whether purchase values are passed on, how consent signals are handled, or which browsers are supported.

Because the EU and UK are reportedly excluded, Gulf advertisers using the Pixel should assume they are in scope. Reported conversions in Ads Manager may rise in the middle of the sales season with no change in real orders. Record a baseline of Meta-attributed sales against backend orders before 12 November, keep the Conversions API running, and treat any jump as a counting change until a holdout test says otherwise.

Why it matters

Reported Meta conversions may rise mid-sales season without more real sales; Gulf advertisers should benchmark against their own orders before 12 November.

Google Ads turns child-protection rules into a two-tier Child Safety policy

Google will replace its child sexual abuse and exploitation ads policy with a standalone Child Safety policy from 11 January 2027. Abuse content still means immediate, permanent suspension, while a new lower tier gets at least seven days' warning.

Why it mattersChild imagery that is harmless in intent can now trigger a warning and then suspension, so family and baby-care advertisers need a creative check before 11 January.
