The challenge
The brief was a celebration film made after the race, when the winners were already known. Daw's insight: at a race you see the cars for only a few seconds, with the rush of air, the ground shaking and the engines' echo, and the excitement stays with you after they've gone (MUSE).
The idea
Rather than retell the result, the film uses its concept and cinematography to put the viewer trackside, with 'clear yet intricate frames' guiding the eyes and ears to the most striking moments, so that by the end 'you won’t need to know the outcome' (MUSE). Daw's Clio Sports entry shows the Ministry of Sport posting a version of the film on X with the hashtags #فورمولا1_في_السعودية and #نسابق_المستقبل.
