Proud to Grow in the UAE

The challenge

Drinkit opened its first Dubai coffee shop four years ago as what its MENA chief executive calls an experiment. The company says it wanted to bring more warmth and a human touch to its stores, and to thank the country and the local community as the UAE marks 55 years.

The idea

Under the line "Proud to Grow in the UAE", three UAE-based artists from the Dareesha creative community, Mariam Alobeidli, Raghad Murad (Waggish) and Hind Othman Alhammadi, made original artwork for the chain. The illustrations run across the Drinkit app, in-store screens, packaging, merchandise and a limited-edition print that guests can collect. Alongside the artwork comes a limited menu built on regional ingredients: camel milk coffees made with Camelicious milk and black forest honey, hot chocolates made with Mirzam's bean-to-bar chocolate, a saffron karak chocolate, a pistachio and camel milk espresso drink, and a Yemeni filter coffee. Drinkit released the campaign in mid-October 2026, and its announcement says the artwork and menu (AED 25 to AED 35) are live in all its Dubai and Abu Dhabi coffee shops, ordered through the app and in-store kiosks.
