The challenge
METER wanted to make complex environmental research understandable and address the stigma attached to produce from Fukushima.
The idea
Rice straw from fields treated through a decontamination project was made into paper for a book. Photography, interviews, reports and data visualisations brought together farmers’ experiences and the research behind the project, giving readers a physical way into the subject.
