Internet Governance Forum Film.

The United Nations chose Riyadh to host the 19th Internet Governance Forum, held from 15 to 19 December 2024 at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center under the theme 'Building Our Multistakeholder Digital Future' (UN). The Digital Government Authority wanted to show why order and governance matter in every field, the internet included.

Swing's film 'illustrates the necessity of structured systems and regulations' through everyday examples (MUSE). It opens on air travel, which could not be safe without a strict, precise system, and shows the hidden mechanisms behind each flight. It moves to the roads, where heavy traffic still flows because signals organise it, and on to other kinds of order in daily life. The argument: the internet, too, needs a governance framework to stay accessible, secure and safe to use.
