talabat names Delivery Hero's Selin Süzer as chief marketing officer.

talabat has appointed Selin Süzer as chief marketing officer, bringing her in from its parent company, Delivery Hero. She was most recently CMO of the group's foodpanda, foodora and Yemeksepeti brands.
talabat announced the appointment on 18 September. Süzer has nearly 20 years of marketing experience in roles across Türkiye, the US, Europe and Asia, and will lead talabat's marketing organisation and help shape its marketing and brand agenda. Communicate reports that she is based in Dubai. Chief executive Toon Gyssels pointed to her international experience, curiosity and leadership, and Süzer said she was drawn by the team and by a brand that plays a part in people's everyday lives across the region.
The announcement does not say whom she succeeds, when she takes up the role or who takes over her previous responsibilities at Delivery Hero.
She takes over marketing for an app that operates in eight MENA markets; in October it renewed its sponsorship of Dubai's festivals and events through 2031. For agencies, media owners and event organisers that work with talabat, she is now the person setting marketing priorities, and new CMOs often revisit rosters and plans in their first months.
Why it matters
talabat's marketing is now led by a Delivery Hero insider. Agencies and media partners in its eight markets should learn her priorities early, since new CMOs often revisit plans and rosters.
