A Street View-style website let anyone walk the bombed streets of six Ukrainian cities, timed for the first anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion.

Claims that civilian areas were not being targeted were circulating online. The charities behind it wanted visual evidence anyone could check for themselves.

Dubai agency ‿ and us worked with Google's official Street View photographer for Ukraine to film about 100 km of streets in Kyiv, Irpin, Chernihiv, Izyum, Kharkiv and the Sumy region. The footage was built into a 360-degree site where, at some locations, visitors can switch between the pre-war view and the damage. It launched in February 2023 with UNITED24, President Zelenskyy's fundraising initiative, and Nova Ukraine among the charity partners.
