⁨Sounds of the Land⁩.

⁨SRMG and Billboard announced Billboard Arabia, a music, culture and entertainment platform for the Arab world, in June 2023. SRMG Labs' award entry presents this work as Billboard's launch in the region and says the brand was still relatively unknown there, so it had to win over music fans and earn the industry's respect, starting with artists.⁩

⁨Billboard Arabia and SRMG Labs worked with scientists and sound engineers to analyse maps of five places, AlUla in Saudi Arabia, Tafilah in Jordan, Tinghir in Morocco, the Kadisha Valley in Lebanon and Luxor in Egypt, and used topographic techniques to turn their data into sound. The sounds were carved onto vinyl records. In March 2024 Billboard Arabia put 20 samples up for free download on soundsoftheland.com and SoundCloud, with an open call for artists and producers to make one-minute tracks from them, so the land itself would be featured and credited in future hits. According to the entry, the records were also sent to artists and DJs and placed in recording studios.⁩
