Lenskart turned Arab youth's Snapscore into eyewear reward tiers in a one-month UAE and KSA push, run fully in-house, that drew more than 30,000 participants.

The challenge

Lenskart wanted awareness and first-time customers among young Arabs in the UAE and Saudi Arabia who hadn't engaged with the brand, without asking them to download anything or adopt a new behaviour. It also couldn't legally name the app it wanted to play on.

The idea

Instead of naming the platform, Lenskart used the number its audience already shows off: their Snapscore. The score decided a reward tier (Rookie, Eye-Con or Legend), turning social status into a reason to try eyewear. Creators seeded the idea, supported by PR, paid media, owned social, the Lenskart website and app, and easel stands in stores.

Results

  • More than 30,000 participants
  • Redemption rate close to half
  • Six-figure revenue in US dollars and five-figure new customer acquisition
  • Influencer posts drew more than 5,000 shares and screenshots each, and unpaid creators posted organically
