The challenge
Kuwait's national pavilion sat in the Expo's 'Empowering Lives' sub-theme, and insglück framed the task as: 'How can an entire country be brought to life between cultural heritage and a vision for the future?'
The idea
Under a wing-like roof 'inspired by dunes, sails and the falcon wings of Kuwait’s national emblem', visitors moved through four chapters (MUSE entry; insglück). Pearl of Perception is a multi-sensory 4D ride around an interactive pearl about Kuwait's maritime heritage; Dawn in the Desert draws on Bedouin traditions; People & Culture uses interactive media walls and VR stations on modern Kuwait and Vision 2035; and in the Visionary Lighthouse dome visitors whisper wishes into AI-powered orbs that turn into shooting stars on the dome's night sky. insglück designed the exhibition under creative director Detlef Wintzen, LAVA the architecture, and NUSSLI built and ran the pavilion. It opened on 13 April 2025 and ran until the Expo closed in October.
