The challenge
'Berghain' was the first single and video from Rosalía's fourth album, LUX, released on Columbia Records on 7 November 2025: an orchestral track sung in German, Spanish and English with Björk and Yves Tumor, recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra (Sony Music Spain; Remezcla).
The idea
Directed by Nicolás Méndez and produced by CANADA in Barcelona, the video follows Rosalía through ordinary routines, at home, on the street, on a bus and at the doctor's, while musicians fill every space around her. Her label describes a woman grieving a broken heart who finds comfort in her spirituality. Near the end her flat turns into a fairy-tale forest and Björk's part is sung by a bird. Producer Victor Mata and Méndez told D&AD that everything, from the animals to the orchestra, was filmed for real. Creative direction was by Rosalía and her sister Pilar Vila.
