Reddit adds a campaign planner, optimisation score and budget tool.

Reddit has added three AI-driven tools to its Ads Manager: a campaign planner, a new campaign-level optimisation score (Reddit has scored accounts since July 2025) and automatic budget optimisation. The planner and the score are rolling out to all advertisers through October.

The campaign planner forecasts reach, impressions and costs before a campaign launches. It also shows how consistently the target audience is active on Reddit and summarises the main themes in the subreddits being targeted, which gives media planners something closer to a research tool than a simple forecast.

The optimisation score rates each campaign from 0 to 100% and comes with recommendations. Reddit says advertisers scoring 80% or more saw 19.6% lower blended cost per acquisition than those with lower scores. Campaign budget optimisation moves spend between ad groups towards the best performers automatically. No date was given for that third feature.

As with similar scores at Google and Meta, a higher score partly reflects following the platform's own advice, so the CPA comparison is Reddit's claim rather than an independent test. Reddit did not give any market-level detail.

Reddit is rarely a core buy in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf next to Snapchat, TikTok or Meta. The subreddit theme summaries could be useful for brands simply trying to learn what their category's audience talks about, even before they spend.

Why it matters

Reddit is copying the planning and automation tools buyers know from bigger platforms, making it easier to test, though its performance claims come from its own data.
